Holiday Tablescapes

We have been SO BUSY this December we CANNOT believe it’s 5 days till Christmas! We really wanted to dip into our creative juices (wine) and craft another tablescape! However, we were so inspired by all of the Christmas decor that we couldn’t stop at just one tablescape (or glass of wine)…So Staging Spaces and Design (SS&D) is happy to present to you…THE 12 TABLES OF CHRISTMAS! Just kidding. There aren’t 12 tables and we certainly will not be caroling to you.

We’re going to keep things real simple on this one. There are a lot of photos to look at, so grab a cup of holiday cheer, and let the pretty photos take you away. Enjoy!

As you all know, we do home staging in Bend, Oregon, so these various settings took place at a location in Tethrow Resort. I’ll post a picture of the home at the very end. It’s GORGEOUS! The above table is a natural-yet-campy feel for Christmas. It’s less flashy, but still gives you the cozy holiday cheer. Or maybe that’s the candles…

There are few places to shop in Bend, so of course we hit up TJ Maxx and purchased these amazing stemless wine glasses from Rachel Zoe. Obsessing over the opalescent look and have used it with a few of our other interior design clients in Bend. We also purchased the winter cabin candles, dishes, and plaid bottomed trees at TJ Maxx.

Pier 1 is another popular hub of ours (duh), and we found our favorite color in a napkin (that beautiful blue-green) with bottle brush tree to match. We also used some natural wood napkin rings from Pier 1’s clearance section, and the magical twinkly lights. Probably the item that had us most inspired were the place mats - adding a nice warm touch to the silver and white palate.

Here’s a fun variation from the first table! We used chargers instead of the placemats, added tea lights, a couple of blue bottle brush trees from Fred Meyer, green ornaments from Big Lots, and a frosty centerpiece. Both the opalescent vase and blue…

Okay okay. How cute is this bottle brush tree in this vase?? We wrapped a strand of lights around it, gently placed it in the vase, and added pebbles to hide the battery pack. Be advised- it’s hard to turn off the lights once pebbles are placed.

This is more of an elegant take. We switched up the floral arrangement to more of something you’d see if you’ve experienced freezing fog. Beautiful, but a nuisance (the glitter was EVERYWHERE). The beautiful table runners and vase are from Home Goods, which we don’t have in Central Oregon. We made a Portland, OR trip for one of our regular staging jobs. We’re thinking about using the table runners as faux throws… weird or no?

Drumroll please…The final table! This was one of our favorites. The tall stemmed wine glasses have a way of bringing out elegance, don’t you think? We also switched up the floral into a more traditional Christmas look, with the Holly-esque berries and shimmer. We also added potpourri into each bowl to weave nature back into the tablescape (even if it is scented and dyed green - still works).

Which of these looks was your favorite? Stop by our Facebook or Instagram page and let us know.

We hope you all have happy holidays filled with laughter, cheer, loved ones, and WINE! Check out the photos below for a feature on the wines pictured and to give the opalescent wine glasses the moment they deserve.
